back on the other side

late summer the Beau and I hit the west coast again. this city was a first for both of us….San Francisco. the trip was fun and somewhat spontaneous, in that we had a whole different itinerary that we literally changed while in SF….honestly I think I tried to pack too much in a short time period (i’ll be back). i bit off more than I could chew, so to speak. but I had a great time…and speaking of “chew” we ate good! we had a perfect brunch at  Brendas French soulfood resty, I highly recommend this place. note, there was a bit of a wait as locals love this place too but they have the cutest cafe next door that will keep your coffee buzz going. another great spot was Mamas on Washington Sq.…again a wait, a long wait, but totally worth it. the wait was so long the Beau went to get a slice of pizza a block away (which was a really yummy slice that almost made use jump out of line for a pie), but really waiting was a community experience and honestly wasn’t awful. we were tourists and hit up the typical spots, but also visited Oakland where we meet up with some friends that took us on an awesome hike to the clouds. enjoy the pics….
